Rural clinician and veterinarian training center
In 1975 new career paths were opened to nomadic graduates. With the collaboration of the Royal Social Security Organization and Shiraz University, the graduates of middle schools were trained in 4-year technical programs to gain the required knowledge in order to diagnose and treat common health problems. The center was initially opened in Marvdasht, Fars and then transferred to Kawar. Prior to 1978, a number of 90 nomadic youth were trained to become rural clinician and another 30 became veterinarian.
