Nomadic high school After establishing portable classrooms and the development of nomadic schools, the number of elementary school graduates was growing constantly while these graduates were deprived of high school education due to many limitations; the route of their seasonal migration was occasionally hundreds of kilometers long and the lack of high schools on their routes was prominent. Also, there were financial and cultural difficulties present since the nomadic parents needed the assistance of their children in everyday work and the education of teenage girls was frowned upon.
Bahmanbeigi initially accommodated 7 students in his own residence and sent them to high school. After observing their extraordinary progress, he intended to find a way to provide high school education for all the children with potential. In 1967, a number of 40 students from deprived tribal families were selected under his supervision after the exam and interview to study at the high school. Shiraz Nomadic Boarding High School expanded quickly to the point that it became known in Shiraz as an unrivaled center in education, sports, and arts. The only schools which managed to be their equals were Alborz High School in Tehran and the high school affiliated with Shiraz University which were highly equipped and reputable in the country.
