Nomadic Midwife Training Institute
This institute was established in 1973 with the cooperation of Nomadic Education Administration and Ministry of Health in Shiraz to train the nomadic girls in the fields of health basics, midwifery basics, injections, and bandaging. Returning to the tribe, besides assisting the pregnant nomadic women, these trained young women contributed to the improving of public health in tribes. The classes held in a clinic and the trainees were accommodated in the dormitory for Girl Teachers Training Center. The Nomadic Education Administration had the task of selecting literate girls of the tribe and referring them to clinic to be trained.
